Enjoy Online Bingo

In 2008 The Sun Bingo changed their software platform from Tombola to Gamesys, the makers of Jackpotjoy. The old Sun Bingo site became Tombola whilst this new site started from scratch. Whilst built by Jackpotjoy it’s not simply a recreation as the new Sun Bingo has it’s own unique features and games.

90 ball, 80 ball and 75 ball bingo are available plus a number of side games including Instant Wingo, Snap and Whack-a-Moley. These have recently been joined by a new slots section, something that wasn’t offered on Tombola.

There’s no free bingo bonus for new players, although there are free games on offer through The Sun newspaper. Promotions are occasional (although nothing has come close to their win a house opening competition). The site is easy to use, nice and colourful and the rooms can be busy but despite that is does still feel a little cold community wise, especially compared to the old site, Tombola.

Bingo Staff go Sky Diving!

People in the UK play bingo everyday at land based halls. Even in these hard economic times a Mecca Bingo hall in Exeter is organising a charity Skydive.
Employees at a Mecca Bingo hall in Exeter are heading to the skies in an event aimed to raise money for the Whizz Kidz charity fund. Three crazy bingo employees are bravely attempting a sky dive from several thousand feet to raise money for a charity who work with disabled children. The Whizz Kidz group organises several events and trips for the children helping them enjoy life to the full.
The Mecca Bingo staff have already raised around £100,000 for the charity and plan to raise plenty more. The three workers claim the support and donations have been great.
Anna Mason said, “This latest challenge was the most exciting and nerve wracking fundraising event the team had ever done. Everyone has been so generous with their donations,” she said. “But I would urge anyone who hasn’t already donated to dig deep. After all, it’s not every day we offer to throw ourselves out of a plane!”
The Exeter bingo hall organizes several charity events but this next effort will easily surpass anything they have done before.
The Mecca Bingo brand is one of the largest online and offline bingo sites and work closely with charity’s to raise money.

Number of gamblers remains the same

Many of thebest gambling sites claim their player numbers are increasing.
In spite of this the UK gambling commission has announced that the number of online gamblers have remained the same. The gambling commission was setup in 2005 to ensure the industry remains regulated and controlled. The numbers of online gamblers is apparently the same as it was last year. Even with the increased investment in TV advertisement and online promotional activities the number is aid to have remained the same.
Online operators were only allowed to broadcast TV adverts last year after legislation allowing the move was passed. Many criticised the move however the law seems not to have increased the numbers of online gamblers.
Some of the largest online gambling brands have produced TV ads including, Foxy Bingo, Intercasino and PKR. All these companies have invested several millions into their advertising but apparently have with no major effect. Part of this could be down the economic recession. Their study asked 8,000 whether or not they gamble in the lottery, interactively or online. Only 8.8 per cent had gambled in any of these forms.
The gambling commission is also responsible for the advertising of gambling products in the UK. They have a website full of information regarding legislation and ruling regarding gambling, casinos and bingo halls.
Several sites offer the best gambling news and its now easier than ever to keep up to date with the industry’s biggest stories.

Full tilt poker series brings about remarkable performance

In Full Tilt’s latest series of online poker tournaments one of the players on their site managed to win two huge tournaments in the Full Tilt Poker Series back-to-back in the span of less than 12 hours.

This remarkable poker feat was accomplished by Yuval Bronshtein, who is a relatively unknown poker player with a few really big wins.

Bronshtein won event #14, which was a $500 HORSE tournament, for $70,412.50 and then right after that took down event #15, a $200 No Limit Turbo Hold’em tournament, for $101,975. The two tournaments took less than 12 hours to complete, but ended with him winning a grand total of $172,387.

What was even more astonishing than the money is that this was two huge tournament fields in consecutive Full Tilt Online Poker Series events – something that nobody has been able to do since the conception of the popular online poker series.

“I don’t think it’s something that anyone will duplicate ever again,” Bronshtein said. “That’s what I want more than anything else; to do things that no one has ever done before. That’s why pulling this off meant so much to me.”

The No Limit Turbo Hold’em event began with 3,472 players and the HORSE tournament had a field of 654 players. That’s why this story has been the biggest poker news because winning two event of this size back-to-back is truly incredible.
